, Hereford's premier boutique hotel, is looking for a talented Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef to deliver high-quality, innovative dishes across all services. Using fresh, local ingredients--including produce from our own nearby farm--you will have the opportunity to craft exceptional farm-to-table meals in an award-winning, family-run hotel.

Duties & Responsibilities:



Menu Development

: Assist in the creation and execution of dynamic, seasonal menus, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

Farm-to-Table Sourcing

: Utilize organic ingredients from our own farm, creating dishes that showcase local and seasonal produce.

Kitchen Management

: Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, including staff supervision, stock control, and kitchen cleanliness.

Health & Safety

: Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Training & Development

: Help mentor and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring the continued high standards of the kitchen.

Event Preparation

: Assist in the preparation of special events, including occasional evening functions and celebrations.

Customer Satisfaction

: Maintain a commitment to culinary excellence and ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service.

Experience

: Minimum two years' experience in a professional kitchen environment.
