You will work closely with our Head Chef to develop exciting dishes, maintain excellent kitchen standards, and support the day-to-day operations of a busy, welcoming environment. Our team would be delighted to welcome the right person into our kitchen.
This is a live-in role, with accommodation included as part of the hourly rate.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in line with restaurant standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency in presentation and taste across all menu items.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Organise and manage kitchen operations during service periods, including coordinating with serving staff.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Support in training new team members and fostering a positive team environment.
Contribute ideas for menu development and special offerings to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of hospitality operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
