Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and excellence.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise resources.
Support staff training programmes to develop culinary skills and uphold service standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
Extensive food production and culinary expertise, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff members.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines.
Effective leadership qualities combined with hospitality experience, including serving customers when required.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
