Clarke Chapman Limited, Wellman Booth are seeking an experienced Spares Manager to join the Leeds office. Wellman Booth have been specialists since 1833 in the design and manufacture of bespoke handling equipment. Wellman Booth high integrity cranes are used in power stations, ports, fuel reprocessing plants, aluminium plants, steelworks and nuclear facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in a similar environment with relevant product knowledge (cranes and/or material handling equipment).
Key accountabilities
Processing enquiries and orders on time to meet customer requirements.
Pricing spares quotations in line with company policy.
Maintaining the enquiry and contract database.
Ensuring appropriate commercial T&Cs are applied.
Meeting turnover and profit budgets.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Responding to customer enquiries for the provision of aftermarket technical services in relation to the Company's products, including the supply of spares, design consultancy and technical services by researching and preparing quotations for issue to the customer.
Responding to customer purchase orders for the supply of spares, including project management, procurement, delivery, documentation and invoicing.
Maintaining the enquiry and contract database.
Maintaining good communications and relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Progressing enquiries and contracts in a timely manner in accordance with agreed timescales.
Processing enquiries and contracts in order to achieve the best performance outcome in line with turnover and profit budgets.
Ensuring spares of the correct specification, quality and integrity are procured and are supplied with the appropriate documentation.
Ensuring all quotations are issued with appropriate commercial Terms & Conditions in line with company policy and that all subsequent contracts are executed accordingly.
Any other duties within your capabilities as directed by line management.
Qualifications, Experience and Key competencies
GCSE English, Mathematics & Science grade C or above
Recognised technical qualification would be an advantage.
Relevant experience in a similar role and environment
Good IT Skills (Microsoft word, excel and outlook)
Good communication skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Relevant product knowledge (cranes and/or material handling equipment).
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of relevant technical and quality standards.
Must be eligible to work in the UK
