Peile Centre, Chantry Academy - Ipswich 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Permanent Salary: 24,404 - 25,183 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 20,716 - 21,377 per annum
We are looking for a dedicated Special Teaching Assistant to support children with cognition and learning difficulties or moderate learning difficulties. In this role, you will help students build confidence, independence, and self-respect, supporting their learning, social skills, and daily school life. Depending on your skills and experience, you may work across the school or focus on particular subjects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with lessons, preparing resources and displays, supporting small groups of students, and helping with personal care where needed. You will help monitor student progress, contribute to assessments through observation and feedback, and support social development during lunchtime and other unstructured times.

Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, while modelling the school values, will also be an important part of your role.
