Priory, Thurston 32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Permanent Monday - Friday (8:30 - 15:15) Salary: 24,404 - 25,183 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 17,916 - 18,488 per annum
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working across the Priory at Thurston and Aspire provisions. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with complex moderate learning difficulties, including ASD.

You will work closely with experienced teaching staff to help students access learning, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed both in and beyond the classroom. Your role will involve assisting with lesson preparation and delivery, supporting individual and group learning, and contributing to the personal and social development of our students.

We are seeking someone who brings patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, alongside a genuine commitment to inclusive education. Experience within SEND and/or EYFS settings is desirable, but above all we value enthusiasm, flexibility, and a nurturing approach that helps every student to thrive.
