Job Description

Ascot Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our expert neurorehabilitation team. This role is dedicated to working with patients who have sustained complex neurological injuries and conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and other progressive neurological disorders. The successful candidate will deliver innovative, evidence based, patient-centred rehabilitation programmes aimed at maximising independence and quality of life.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive neuro-occupational therapy assessments, addressing physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial needs. Develop and deliver individualised, goal-oriented treatment programmes focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), vocational rehabilitation, upper limb function, and cognitive retraining. Conduct upper limb rehabilitation, making use of robotics and advanced neurorehabilitation technologies. Work collaboratively within a specialist multidisciplinary team (physiotherapists, SLTs, neuropsychologists, nurses, and medical consultants) to ensure holistic patient care. Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OTs, therapy assistants, and students. Support patients and families with education, training, and home/community integration strategies. Actively contribute to service development, audits, and research initiatives, supporting Ascot Rehabilitation's reputation as a centre of excellence. Maintain clear, accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
Requirements

Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy (BSc/MSc or equivalent). HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. Extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation (minimum 5 years preferred). Advanced clinical skills in neuro-occupational therapy, including functional assessment, upper limb rehab, cognitive rehabilitation, and complex discharge planning. Proven ability to supervise junior staff. Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centred care. Pay: 42,000.00-47,000.00 per year
