We are seeking a competent Battery Assembly Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing principles and practices, with a focus on ensuring product quality.
Previous medical battery pack manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage although full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
To work as a team to assemble battery packs from components (battery cells, discs, cups, tabs, links, sleeves, labels, lead connectors, etc).
The Battery Assembly Operator is responsible for following procedures for product assembly, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.
Quality & Compliance
The Battery Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling products, handling products, equipment and materials according to the Production Department and company's quality system procedures.
Each Operator is required to judge the quality of the previous production process prior to continuing with his/her own process on the production line.
The Battery Assembly Operator is required to work with due regard to the health and safety of all.
Technical requirements
Good eyesight (with or without glasses) and manual dexterity are required.
Battery Assembly Operators will be required, after instruction, to understand and correctly use battery manufacturing instructions and to identify component parts.
spot welding and soldering to be carried out as part of the manufacturing process requiring a high degree of manual dexterity.
loading and pushing of trolleys containing components or finished goods.
Additional skills:
Excellent attendance record and keen to learn new skills.
Able to work both as part of team and alone.
Good organisational skills.
Desirable skills/experience
Experience in
medical battery pack manufacturing
or similar production experience.
Organisational Relationships:
The Battery Assembly Operative reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
The Battery Assembly Operative has no direct responsibility for any team members but may be asked to support more junior members of the team.
