The Role:

As a senior member of the Faculty's technical team, the post holder will provide a specialist contribution to the technical services provision within the Faculty of Science and Health supporting teaching, research, innovation and commercial activities.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical information in support of teaching, research and innovation activities. To be responsible for specialist equipment and material usage and maintenance, in accordance with relevant legislation and University Policies across all 4 Schools: School of Dental, Health and Care Professions (DHCP); School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SMPBS); School of Psychology, Sport and Health Sciences (PSHS); School of the Environment and Life Sciences (ELS).

The individual appointed to the specialist role will be expected to support tissue culture, confocal microscopy, plate readers, and various analytical instruments, along with performing other related duties.

This position is working on-site only, so we are unable to support hybrid working for this appointment. While this position is being advertised on a full time basis, we may be able to appoint on reduced hours.

The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 02 December 2025. This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 13 February 2029.
