Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supervising kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations throughout all kitchen operations. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety practices, and restaurant policies. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Experience

Proven experience as a Wok or Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for guests. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
