Job Description

Are you looking to start your career in a friendly and forward thinking department that offers great CPD opportunities?
On our most recent colleague survey 100% of our team would recommend CHCP CIC as a place to work and believe it takes a positive approach to health and wellbeing. We are looking for a therapist with excellent communication skills who would like to develop their knowledge in working with adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Our team works across Hull and East Yorkshire providing adult speech and language therapy across a number of community settings including community inpatient units, specialist multi disciplinary stroke services, community clinics and domiciliary visits. We also run a regular community videofluoroscopy clinic in conjunction with the local hospital trust.
Main duties of the job
We are fully committed to staff development and a robust supervision and appraisal framework in place. You will be taken through a structured preceptorship program, completing dysphagia training, in addition to having opportunities for further specialist training as needed.
You will be supported by senior staff with advanced clinical knowledge in areas of stroke, voice, dysfluency, dysphagia and aphasia in addition to team peer support and regular team CPD meetings and supervision. Staff are also provided with the necessary information technology to enable flexible and mobile working.
