Funtastic Kids LTD is dedicated to providing exceptional Holiday Camps and Wrap Around Childcare services for children aged 4-13 across primary schools in Berkshire. Our mission is to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Summary

We're seeking an enthusiastic Sports Coach Assistant Apprentice who is ready to kick start their career!

You'll work towards a NCFE Level 1 (or higher) qualification in Sports Coaching while leading various sports activities at our clubs and camps across Berkshire.

Rate of Pay:

From 10.50 - 14.75 per hour, dependent on age and experience

Hours of Work

Variable Hours:

Monday - Friday, between 7.30am and 6pm, covering the hours of our Breakfast & After School Clubs and Holiday Camps.

And flexible additional hours to assist with preparing and delivering sports equipment to schools

(Driving Licence and use of a car required).

Part-time or full-time hours to be discussed on application to suit the right candidate.

Job Role

To study and complete NCFE Level 1 (or above) in Sports Coaching (12 to 18 month course) To supervise groups of children and run sports activities To plan and deliver sports sessions that are challenging, realistic & fun for primary-aged children. Deliver the sports coaching programme to a high standard consistently. To be committed in ensuring every session is delivered to the best of your ability. Be creative and passionate in your delivery. To work within a team of playworkers to facilitate the activities to promote enjoyment and play of all children attending the camp or club, taking into account their different needs. To understand the individual needs of the children in our care and challenge/engage them appropriately To ensure safeguarding policies are followed To ensure risk assessments and health and safety policies are adhered to To support and demonstrate fair and acceptable behaviour in the camp, promoting respect, tolerance and social skills. Create a positive learning environment for the children in our care To communicate appropriately with parents and visitors To ensure activities are run in accordance with the company's expectations and opportunities are created to enhance language and communication At camp, to support the supervisor in supervising the children throughout the day including during breaks and lunch To ensure the club/camp setting is kept clean and hygienic throughout the duration of the club/camp under the direction of the club/camp supervisor To keep training up to date in line with company expectations and complete any compulsory training as required Approachable in liaising with parent/carers

Qualifications

Good standard of general education e.g. GCSE English, Mathematics minimum Grade C or 4

Skills/Abilities

Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children Good observation skills Understanding of their role to assist and supervise pupils on particular tasks and the expected outcome of individual activities within the allocated timescale Confidentiality at all times Willingness to develop their own understanding of child development through training Work well within a team to promote positive outcomes for children

Experience

Some experience of working with primary-aged children is desirable
