Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join The Sprint Active team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sports and a commitment to fostering the development of athletes at various skill levels. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programmes, teaching essential skills, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship among participants.

Duties

Develop and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to the needs of athletes. Teach fundamental skills and techniques in the designated sport. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal growth. Monitor and assess athlete performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Organise and lead practice sessions, drills, and competitive events. Promote teamwork, discipline, and respect among team members. Maintain safety standards during all activities and ensure proper use of equipment. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other staff members regarding progress and any concerns.

Experience

Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable. A strong understanding of the sport being coached, including rules, strategies, and techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership qualities. A background in physical education or related fields would be an advantage.
