Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating primary acged children on the fundamentals of a variety of sport. This role involves developing training programmes, leading practice sessions, and fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and teamwork among children, during breakast and afterschool club.

Duties

Develop and implement effective training programmes tailored to the needs of individual and teams. Conduct practice sessions, focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork. Educate clearly on the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport. Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve skills and confidence. Foster a supportive and motivating environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Organise and participate in competitions, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively. Communicate regularly with children, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress, goals, and any concerns. Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and sports developments to enhance training methods.

Skills

Strong knowledge of sports coaching principles and techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate athletes effectively. Ability to motivate and inspire individuals or teams to achieve their best performance. Strong organisational skills to plan training sessions and manage schedules effectively. Patience and adaptability to cater to varying skill levels among athletes. A commitment to fostering a positive team culture that emphasises respect, discipline, and enjoyment of the sport. A mimimum level 2 sports coaching qualification required
