Edstart Tameside is seeking a dynamic and professional individual with a passion for sports coaching. The potential candidate will be tasked with teaching sport and physical education to children and young people across diverse primary school settings. The role demands adherence to the PE National Curriculum and/or specified programs of study.
As Edstart provides an array of extracurricular activities during various times including before school, at lunch times, after school, and during school holidays, applicants should be aware of the possibility of working during these periods. Prior experience of teaching or coaching within primary schools is seen as a significant advantage.
As an Edstart Sports Coach, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and conducting a variety of sports sessions
- Encouraging young individuals to adopt and lead active and healthy lifestyles
- Delivering lessons that comply with Ofsted criteria and the PE national curriculum
- Building positive relationships through close collaboration with Schools and Staff
To qualify as an Edstart Sports Coach, you should meet the following requirements:
- Possess personal transportation as the role will necessitate travel to various schools
- Display self-motivation and a genuine passion for teaching or coaching sports
- Prior experience in a school environment will be greatly advantageous
- Successfully pass an enhanced DBS check to ensure safety when working with children.
