Sports Coach/student Support
Job Description
Evolve Sports Academy is an alternative education sports coaching programme. Using sport as a tool, we deliver qualifications in Sports Leadership and Functional Skills to secondary school students who have been excluded/at risk of exclusion from school. We have an exciting opportunity for a Sports Coach to join our team. This position is well-suited to a passionate and motivated person who is looking to make a difference in young people's lives through the power of sport.
The successful applicant will be required to work in both Chesterfield, S45 9LX and Rotherham, S65 1SU.
Working days would currently be as follows:
Thursday: Chesterfield
Friday: Rotherham
The starting salary for this role would be 22,000 (FTE).
Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging practical lessons (various sports). Delivering sports quizzes and theory lessons (as you develop in the role). Managing challenging behaviour. Creating positive relationships with students, schools, parents, and carers. Completing in-house administration.
Requirements:
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (can be obtained through Evolve). Sports degree (preferred). Teaching assistant/support experience (preferred). Sports coaching background. Experience in delivering coaching sessions.
