Job Summary


The Leisure and Sport Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing recreational programmes and sports activities within the community. This position is responsible for developing engaging leisure initiatives, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a love for sports among participants of all ages. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for sports coaching, and the ability to educate others on the benefits of an active lifestyle.

Responsibilities



Develop, implement, and manage a diverse range of leisure and sports programmes that cater to various age groups and skill levels. Educate participants about the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy living through workshops and training sessions. Coordinate with local schools, community groups, and organisations to promote sports activities and events. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers involved in leisure programmes. Monitor programme budgets and ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes through participant feedback and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement. Organise community events such as tournaments, workshops, and fitness challenges to encourage participation in sports. Maintain a safe environment for all participants by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience



Proven experience in leisure management or sports coaching is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with participants, staff, and community members. A background in education or training related to physical fitness or sports is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
