Stuart Canvas Group are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Manager to join our expanding sales team, reporting directly to the Head of Sports we are looking for the candidate to add additional value to our existing sales team, developing and closing sales opportunities for a range of sports products and customers through self-generated and allocated marketing sales leads.
With an already well-established customer base in the cricket, football, tennis, rugby and racing sectors, the role will focus on achieving specific product and customer sales targets in the university and independent school markets, alongside the grass roots club markets. The role will require consistent elevated levels of customer engagement through outbound calls, e-mails, and attending networking events to create suitable sales opportunities with our current product ranges, whilst also looking to identify future sales opportunities in products and services that the business could consider in the future. There will also be work with the marketing team, looking at generating content for social media engagement to create further sales opportunities.
The role will include some account management of existing customers within the education and cricket markets.
All activity will be aligned to our sports strategy; where candidate will be in place to drive new product sales and increase year on year sales revenue and our current level of buying customers, having a real emphasis on self-generated leads and enquiries on targeted products like rugby post pads, football and hockey goals , there will also be a requirement to follow up and convert marketing leads that are provided through the year.
The successful candidate will focus on appointment setting and generating site visits and Is a UK wide role and requires full UK travel. You will also need to be an excellent communicator with strong people skills. You must be comfortable presenting products or services through face-to-face meetings and over the phone, as well as having excellent written communication skills.
Responsibilities & Role
To be initiative-taking in generating sales opportunities for the current Stuart Canvas product range.
Generate appointments and site visits in the Independent and University markets for targeted products
Answer questions about products, and support customers with product selection.
Collaborating with the company's CRM system to update all customer key data.
Generate, build, and communicate accurately all customer quotations.
Continuously manage your sales pipeline.
Manage any post sales issues to preserve the company's reputation.
Go the "extra mile" to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.

Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a successful sales management role.
Target driven, and ability to demonstrate previous sales target achievements.
Excellent time management.
Good knowledge of relevant computer programmes Microsoft and CRM's etc.
Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects.
Keen interest in sport.
A collaborator with excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
A growth mindset, who is always looking for suitable sales opportunities.
