Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sports Massage Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team at Herne Hill Chiropractic. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced chiropractors, receive regular referrals, and build a client base in one of South London's most vibrant and supportive communities.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, targeted soft-tissue treatment

-- including sports massage, deep tissue therapy, myofascial release, assisted stretching, and (if qualified) dry needling or instrument-assisted techniques.

Assess soft-tissue tension and identify areas of dysfunction

, using good anatomical knowledge and confident palpation skills, rather than providing generic, surface-level massage. You will work closely with chiropractors, who will refer patients with identified soft-tissue restrictions.

Support integrated care plans

by communicating effectively with the chiropractor, ensuring patients receive consistent, coordinated treatment.

Provide post-session advice

, such as basic home-care strategies to enhance treatment outcomes and promote lasting improvement.

Maintain clinical notes

, following clinic standards.

Ensure treatment rooms remain clean, organised, and welcoming

for every patient.

Optional

: Participate in occasional community events or workshops if desired (not mandatory).

Requirements

Qualifications

: Level 4 or above in Sports Massage Therapy (Level 5 highly regarded)

Experience

: Minimum 2 years working in a UK clinical, health, or sports performance setting

Registration

: Membership with a recognised professional body and valid personal insurance

Skills

: Excellent manual therapy techniques, strong anatomical knowledge, and proven results with both athletes and the general population

Professionalism

: Reliable, punctual, and confident working independently while being part of a collaborative team

Extras

(preferred): trained in Dry needling, cupping, pregnancy massage, taping.

Schedule

This is a part-time, fixed-shift position initially, with the potential to grow into full time or added flexible shifts based on demand:

Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday: 2:00 PM - 6/7:00 PM Sunday: optional (not required) with flexible hours that suit you.

Please note: this position is specifically for a Sports Massage / Deep Tissue Massage Therapist. It is not a physiotherapy, sports therapy, sports rehabilitation role. We require someone who excels in hands-on soft-tissue work and loves providing high-quality, focused massage treatments -- not someone seeking to diagnose or manage injuries independently.
