Sports Massage Therapist

with a

Physiotherapy background

to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sports massage, deep tissue therapy, and physiotherapy techniques, and open to performing Ayurvedic massage treatments--training will be provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver sports massage, deep tissue, and injury rehabilitation treatments Conduct physiotherapy-based assessments and treatment planning Collaborate with Ayurvedic doctors and therapists to provide integrated care Perform or assist in Ayurvedic massage therapies (e.g., Abhyanga, Kizhi, Pinda Sweda) Record and maintain detailed client treatment notes and progress updates Provide guidance on post-treatment care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises Ensure high hygiene standards, health & safety compliance, and client wellbeing Participate in clinic meetings and ongoing staff coordination Maintain professional conduct and uphold client confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Recognised qualification in

Sports Massage Therapy

(minimum Level 3 or above)

Physiotherapy degree

or equivalent recognised qualification (UK or international) Proven experience in

sports massage, deep tissue therapy

, and

injury management

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions Interest in or openness to learning

Ayurvedic massage techniques

(training provided) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to maintaining clinic hygiene and safety standards

Desirable

Registration with HCPC or equivalent professional body (if physiotherapy is UK-qualified) Experience in complementary or holistic therapies Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
