Job Summary

Are you an experienced tutor/assessor in the Sports and Personal Training field with a desire to help the next generation of PT's? If so, we're keen to hear from you!

We're looking for two part time passionate, energetic and experienced trainers to join our teaching and assessing team at Alt Valley Community Trust. There will be a mixture of day and/or evening/weekend delivery and we are open to working around other commitments.

The Role

The role will involve teaching and assessing our Level 3 personal training qualifications from one or more of our training venues in Liverpool. The post will primarily be based in the Dovecot area of Liverpool.

You will need to teach the course in accordance with the awarding organisation criteria, and you will have the opportunity to make the content your own and draw upon your own professional experiences.

Your Skills & Experiences

have at least 2 years' experience as a tutor/assessor and ideally experience of delivering a Level 3 Gym Instructing & Personal Training qualification.

be passionate and energetic with a genuine desire to help others realise their potential and increase their career prospects.

possess strong communication skills, particularly those softer skills, being able to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy as required and support learners to achieve their potential.

Your Qualifications

Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (or equivalent)

A relevant teaching qualification - may consider applicants working towards (e.g. Award in Education and Training, PTTLS, DTTLS, CTTLS, AET, Cert Ed, PGCE)

A relevant vocational assessing qualification - may consider applicants working towards (e.g. D32/33, A1/A2, CAVA)

Essential

Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable

Internal Quality Assurance qualification

First Aid experience/qualification

There may be an opportunity for the hours to increase

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.59 per hour
