Senior Systems Engineer Advance Development

Join an Image Guided Therapy advanced development team to identify unmet clinical needs and develop, evaluate, and de-risk medical device concepts and prototypes for best-in-class devices to image and treat structural heart disease. Contributing to the technical aspects of projects that develop new, invasive medical devices, particularly early feasibility projects. This role requires technical adaptability and the ability to excel in a rapidly evolving, cross-functional team environment. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead technical planning activities and lead the definition of and mitigation of technical risks. The Senior Engineer will primarily focus at the team level but may occasionally be involved at various levels with technical issues at a department level and / or business unit level.

Your role:

  • Conduct product development activities to create innovative technology to improve image guided therapy delivery in the structural heart disease space.
  • Design, implement, and test system and software components that will be a part of an overall imaging system. You will work closely with scientists, mechanical engineers and software engineers to architect and implement advanced algorithm prototypes.
  • Integrate a multi-component system, including device, software and hardware elements for ultrasound and image guided cardiac therapy.
  • Interface with physicians, customers, and internal teammates to define unmet clinical needs in the structural heart disease device space and translate Voice-of-Customer requirements to design requirements.
You\'re the right fit if:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer/Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience in the design and commercialization of medical products; experience with structural heart and cardiac devices preferred
  • Experience with algorithm design and implementation (including image registration, image segmentation, deep learning networks).
  • High level programming skills (Python, MATLAB, C/C#/C++), algorithm prototyping and testing, interpreting/presenting data, conducting statistical analysis, and writing technical reports.
