We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the restaurant sector. This role involves assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and engaging with customers to enhance their dining experience through effective upselling techniques.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and ensure all kitchen tasks are completed efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and assist with menu selections.
- Utilise basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Support team members in various tasks as needed, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Basic culinary skills and understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic maths for order processing and cash handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition towards customers.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
