Job Description


We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Standards Advisor to join our established Fit Out business, Smartspace.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Improvement and Quality, you will be responsible for promoting the understanding and application of our integrated management system - the Wates Operating Framework (OF) and various digital solutions throughout the Smartspace business, engaging with and influencing site teams and sub-contractors to ensure adequate quality management on site in line with our standard processes.

Alongside this, you will play an important part in the business continuous improvement by carrying out internal audits in accordance with ISO 19011:2011 and reviewing performance on a range of projects, activities, and key supply chain members; providing accurate reports, publishing to relevant business functions, and leading improvement initiatives.

To be successful in the role you will ideally have previous main contractor fit out and refurbishment experience in a similar / related role and be willing to work on a nationwide basis, be a Quality Practitioner (PCQI) or working towards it, be an IRCA trained internal auditor with some knowledge of industry technology, including regulatory requirements and/or have experience of ISO 9001:2015, but what is most important is your drive, passion, and personality to be able to make a difference across the Wates group.

This is a nationwide role and the successful candidate can be based out of any of our regional offices. Regular travel to our sites is required.
