We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our friendly and supportive ALN Team as a Statutory Officer. You must have a thorough working knowledge around current ALN legislation, processes and procedures relating to Children Looked After (CLA), and the ability to deal calmly and efficiently with schools, families and external agencies. The role would include the management of case work and the ability to use IT management systems. This challenging, yet very rewarding role, will provide you with the chance to work within a friendly, forward-looking Inclusion Service.
The post holder will be required provide support, advice and guidance to Parents/Carers, Children and Young People, schools and Colleges and other stakeholders including Health and Social Care colleagues in the delivery of the authority's duties of the requirements of the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 (ALNET) Act, specifically the statutory duties placed on Local Authorities.
To support all partners in removing barriers to learning so that all pupils, irrespective of their individual backgrounds, circumstances or difficulties, are able to derive the maximum benefit from their learning.
Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement of the role.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
