Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of metal fabrication and assembly, demonstrating proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques. This role is essential in constructing and repairing metal structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications and blueprints. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and join materials. Perform welding tasks including stick welding to ensure strong and durable connections. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Employ basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

Experience

Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous but not mandatory. A solid understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites is essential. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.

Pay: 12.00-13.50 per hour
