Stock Control Assistant

Location:

Cowdray Farm Shop, Midhurst

Hours:

Full or part time, predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

Reports to:

Operations Manager





We are looking for a

Stock Control Assistant

to join the team at the Cowdray Farm Shop. This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy retail environment and takes pride in maintaining organisation and efficiency behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Receipt, check and stow incoming deliveries accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised storeroom at all times. Place both automated and manual orders for products to ensure consistent stock availability throughout the week. Monitor stock levels, identify low or fast-moving lines, and support replenishment activity across the shop. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery or stock discrepancies. Support the Farm Shop team during busy periods, including assisting on the shop floor as needed.

About You

Highly organised with a strong attention to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable with physical work and moving stock safely. Confident using IT systems and software, including stock management tools and Microsoft Office. Previous experience in retail stock control or logistics is desirable, but not essential - full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Hours & Benefits

There is flexibility in the number of hours for this role, which could be either full or part time. Working days are predominantly Monday to Friday, with an

8am start

to support the arrival and processing of deliveries. Some occasional weekend work may be required to support events.
