Working hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5:30pm and alternative Saturday 7am - 12pm shifts

As a Stock Manager

, you'll lead the stock team to make sure all deliveries and collections are prepared accurately and on time. You'll take full ownership of maintaining 100% accuracy in picking, packing, and stock transfers, while keeping the department organised and compliant with company standards. You'll look for practical ways to improve efficiency, cut unnecessary costs, and streamline daily operations. Working closely with sales, logistics, and dispatch, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly across departments. You'll also keep a close eye on stock levels, resolve discrepancies quickly, and play a key role in helping the business hit its performance goals through clear planning and strong, hands on leadership.

What does the Stock Manager role involve?



Create a culture of continuous improvement by raising safety observations, reporting near misses, and ensuring full compliance with company H&S policies. Act as a safety ambassador, challenging unsafe behaviour and ensuring the correct use of PPE, safe vehicle loading/unloading, and high housekeeping standards across all areas. Oversee warehouse, yard, and office standards to ensure they meet company requirements and provide a safe, organised working environment. Uphold company values while representing the business professionally to customers and colleagues. Identify and implement operational improvements that reduce costs, streamline processes, and increase customer satisfaction. Oversee picking, loading, and internal stock transfers, resolving discrepancies and manage stock counts to maintain high stock integrity. Motivate, coach, and support the Stock Control team, conducting regular reviews, managing absence and holidays, and promoting personal growth. Encourage teamwork and engagement through regular briefings, ensuring a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace. Keep performance boards updated, monitor KPIs, and implement better ways of working to improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.

What do you need to succeed as a Stock Manager?



A full UK driving licence A hands on approach to getting things done. The ability to lead, support, and motivate your team to deliver great results. A keen eye for detail, ensuring stock accuracy and resolving any issues quickly. Strong organisational skills, with the confidence to plan ahead and stay calm when things get busy. A good understanding of stock control and warehouse operations, with a focus on working safely and efficiently.
