Stone Fabricator

Granite Quartz & Porcelain Fabricator

We are looking to add another Polisher to our team in Hillington. Experienced candidates are welcome but we are also happy to train someone with a positive attitude to become part of our team.

We are looking to add to our finishing team to help keep up with a constant demand for our services. You will be required to fabricate/finish edges of machine cut countertops (such as bevel, bullnose, ogee, half round, etc.). Fabricators are required to use small hand tools, polishing pads, grinding stones, sandpapers, resins, glues, polish powders, etc., to shape, cut, or repair various materials such as natural stone, marble, quartz, and porcelain.

Key responsibilities Include (But are not limited to):

Operating polishing machines to polish edges of different material such as natural stone, marble, quartz, and porcelain. Touch up corners, polishing sinks, and smoothing out bottoms of unevenly machine fabricated materials. Hand fabricate/polish custom edges. Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings. Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure polishing standards are met. Transfer equipment, materials, or objects to specified work areas using moving devices. Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area. Always performs in a high-quality manner and eliminates waste.

Qualifications:

Stone or granite fabricating experience would be an advantage, but not essential. Knowledge of Granite/Marble materials or relative home building/construction background is a plus, but not required. Detail oriented. Basic reading and math skills to understand fabrication drawings and dimensions. Strong communication skills required.

Normal hours are 8:00-4:30 overtime is often available and Saturdays are sometimes required in busy periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
