Summary

We are seeking a skilled Stonemason to join our team in Southampton Slab Gallery. In this role, you will play a vital part in our projects by utilizing your expertise in masonry to create durable and aesthetically pleasing stonework. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing stone materials. Construct stone walls, pathways, and other structures according to specifications. Operating cutting machines and hand tools with precision Measuring, marking, and preparing stone to exact specifications Polishing and surface finishing of marble and stone products Assisting with loading/unloading and moving stone slabs Ensuring safe handling and storage of materials Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order

Requirements

Experience as a stone mason or in stone/marble cutting Ability to work accurately with measurements and technical drawings Knowledge of cutting and polishing tools/machines Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finish Physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials safely Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
