Cranswick Gourmet Bacon a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are looking for a dedicated and organized Stores Person to join our team and help manage our inventory and supplies efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Deliveries:
Accept and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, including food temperature checks and inspection for damage.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, update inventory management systems, and conduct regular stock checks.
Storage:
Store goods appropriately, ensuring they are easily accessible and organized, with special attention to food safety standards.
Dispatching Goods:
Prepare and dispatch goods to various departments or customers as required.
Liaising with Suppliers:
Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, discrepancies, and returns.
Record Keeping:
Keep detailed records of shortages, spares, and discrepancies.
Equipment Handling:
Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and store goods safely.
Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment, particularly food safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry is preferred.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization:
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.
Teamwork:
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Food Safety Knowledge:
Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
