We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Storeperson to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for control of the stores function within the business, from receiving materials through to dispatch of parts. This includes issuing materials to the production line, raising of purchase orders, goods in inspection (where appropriate), stock control and monthly reporting, as required. This role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards maintaining a well-organised workspace.
Responsibilities
Receiving, inspecting and booking in raw materials and parts
Allocation and issuing of materials to the job & manufacturing requirements including all necessary manufacturing documentation
To Maintain correct identification and relevant information to all materials stored
To Maintain stock locations and inventory accurately in relation to both stores and the MRP requirements
To speak to and expedite suppliers both verbally and written
To ensure that the consignment stock is fully maintained
To Uphold product traceability and to ensure that raw material stock is correct and monitored and that there is a systemic control of stocks on an on-going basis
Analysis of variances in stocks or issued parts and the investigation and resolution of those variances
To support and when necessary cover the dispatch function
To Liaise with Finance, Business Development, Engineering and Operations
Working within an ISO9001/EN9100 quality management system
Uphold Health and Safety standards
Skills
Strong English and Maths
Strong analytical skills and the ability problem-solve through to preventative solutions
Eye for detail from a transactional and technical perspective
Previous experience of working in a controlled Supply Chain environment
Work with flexibility within a team environment and demonstrate the ability for working on their own initiative
Able to use a mix of assertiveness and persuasion to overcome day-to-day issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate
Enthusiasm and Energy
Ability to multi task and work to strict deadlines
A valid counter-balance FLT license (desirable)
