We are looking for a reliable organised Stores Assistant to support the daily operations of our busy services. This is a hands on role helping to manage the materials, tools, personal protective equipment that support our essential front line services such as waste collection, grounds maintenance, street lighting, highways and toilet cleaning to run smoothly.
You will:
Assist with regular stock check and audits.
Receive, check and safely store incoming deliveries.
Issue tools, materials and personal protective equipment to operational staff.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe stores environment.
Operate forklift or other equipment
We are looking for someone who is:
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Organised and dependable.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling to handle stock and materials.
Familiar with stores environment.
Confident using basic IT systems or willing to learn.
Forklift licence an advantage, but not essential must obtain the licence within 3 months of start date.
