Opening early 2026, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will be a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, cafe/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

This role plays an important part in keeping our hotel's food and beverage operations running smoothly. You will ensure that all stock deliveries are received, checked, stored, and rotated correctly, while also supporting the kitchen team with general porter duties.



Your key responsibilities will include:


Receiving and checking all stock deliveries against order sheets. Ensuring correct storage, labelling, and rotation of food and beverage stock. Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of storerooms and walk-in fridges/freezers. Assisting chefs with kitchen porter tasks, including dishwashing and maintaining hygiene standards. Disposing of waste and recycling safely in line with hotel procedures. Supporting the wider food and beverage team during busy service periods.

Key Requirements

Essential:

Previous experience in a stock control or kitchen porter role (hotel or restaurant environment desirable). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work.

Desirable:

Basic food hygiene certification. Knowledge of stock management processes.
