We are recruiting a Strategic Development and Enterprise Lead who can lead on business development for NIHR BioResource.

The primary focus of the role will be developing strategic relationships with industry in the health research sector.

The NIHR BioResource currently engages with a number of industry partners, ranging from SMEs to large pharma. These interactions include providing access to data and samples, and supporting clinical studies through our unique recall by genotype / phenotype capability. We wish to build on this engagement, and increase our interactions with industry.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent facilitation and negotiation skills as well as the ability to maintain composure under pressure and engage in consensus-building.

Ideally you will have:

Demonstrated senior experience in strategic development, business development, organisational leadership or health research.

Extensive experience, in either the public or private sector, of successful leadership and delivery of complex programmes.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically, interpret business requirements and produce flexible and cost-effective plans for delivery, including the ability to provide concise analyses of complex issues and options to support NIHR BioResource\'s senior team in decision-making.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 November 2027 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 5-year funding cycle.
