Job Description

Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a skilled and driven Structural Repairs Technician to join our Property Services team. If you're experienced in bricklaying, groundworks, or landscaping and take pride in delivering quality, lasting repairs, this role offers the chance to make a real impact across our housing portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing




Working independently and to a high standard, you'll carry out day-to-day repairs and external maintenance across our properties, including brickwork, patios, and fencing. You'll interpret technical specifications, prepare materials, and deliver safe, durable results, always with a focus on customer care and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:



Constructing and repairing brick walls, patios, and fencing using a range of tools and materials Reading and analysing specifications, marking out accurate layouts Mixing mortar and preparing materials to the correct consistency Installing insulation, drainage systems, vapor barriers, and vents Inspecting damage and estimating labour and material costs Maintaining van stock and minimising waste Removing debris and protecting work areas from adverse weather Using hand tools and equipment such as scaffolding and ladders Completing documentation accurately and on time Adhering to health and safety procedures and reporting risks Supporting apprentices or junior colleagues when required

What You'll Bring




We're looking for someone who's confident working unsupervised, with strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering first-time fixes. You'll be a clear communicator, a team player, and someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Essential criteria:



City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent experience in bricklaying, groundworks, or landscaping Solid understanding of construction regulations and health & safety practices Experience using hand tools, scaffolds, and plant equipment Physical strength, good balance, and the ability to work at heights Reasonable literacy and numeracy skills Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and prioritisation skills Commitment to excellent customer service Willingness to join the on-call rota for out-of-hours cover
