About the Role
Support origination of Project Finance transactions across various markets; manage & develop a relationship with clients, lenders, advisors, etc.
Good understanding of Project Finance sectors (energy, TMT, infrastructure, etc); understanding of international financial markets.
Experience in the origination and execution (from the origination to financial closing) of Project Finance deals including among others: financial structuring, financial modelling, managing Due Diligence process, financing documentation, credit analysis, etc. Taking on and handling projects autonomously.
Strong financial modelling skills, understanding of accounting, tax and legal concepts related to Project Finance deals, financial statements analysis, cash flow analysis, derivatives instruments related to Project Finance deals, etc.
Strong ability to understand, produce and negotiate complex project finance documentation (term sheets, commitment letters, credit agreements and others) and different type of complex financing structures.
Solid credit/risk analysis skills; experience in preparing credit papers and reports and negotiating and dealing with Credit Risk teams.
Strong presentation skills, both orally and in writing; preparation of materials and presentations for client pitches.
Ability to work in a team structure and dealing with different internal areas (client relationship, global markets, risk and legal departments, advisory, etc). Ability to coordinate and negotiate with clients, lenders.
Qualifications
Six to ten years of relevant experience in Structured Finance, Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate or a comparable background in investment banking or other industry.
Ideally having been actively involved in winning and executing large scale advisory mandates and/or lead arranging and bookrunning positions.
Preferable knowledge in financial modelling and project finance techniques reflecting a thorough understanding on different accounting standards.
Preferable some legal knowledge.
Business School/University degree in economics or business administration, law, or engineering.
Preferably international working experience.
Fluency in English and Spanish, other language advantageous (especially French or German).
