About the role

------------------

We are seeking a proactive and student-focused individual to join our Student Support and Wellbeing Services (SSWS) team as a Student Adviser Support. This key role serves as a first point of contact for students, offering guidance and support as they transition into university life and beyond. You will work closely with undergraduate students--particularly first years--responding to queries via phone, online systems (askUCL), and in-person meetings, while also helping to deliver outreach initiatives and community-building activities. You'll play a vital role in identifying student challenges and connecting them with the right resources to ensure their success and wellbeing at UCL.

Working in close collaboration with academic units, you'll help facilitate inductions, run events, and support students throughout their academic journey. You'll assist with processes such as SORAs, extenuating circumstances, and attendance monitoring, while maintaining effective communication with both students and staff. The role also involves liaising with specialist support services, managing complex cases, and ensuring student data is handled with full GDPR compliance. This position is campus-based and may require travel between Bloomsbury, Canary Wharf, and UCL East.

This is a part-time role that will require the postholder to work 18.25 hours per week.

If you have any queries about the application process, please contact Passant Khalifa at p.khalifa@ucl.ac.uk
