Student Engagement Officer
to join our team and help shape a vibrant student experience across our college community.
In this role, you'll work directly with learners to develop and deliver a wide range of cultural, social, and sporting activities that promote personal development, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging. You'll also play a key part in supporting student voice initiatives and working with those at risk of disengagement.
Essential Criteria
Relevant vocational/professional qualification (e.g. Youth Work or Social Work)
Experience working with young people in a supportive setting
Understanding of safeguarding and Prevent in an education context
Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver inclusive enrichment activities that support student retention and engagement
Work with learners at risk of disengagement to promote positive behaviour and outcomes
Support student voice systems, including Student Reps and Parliament
Collaborate with curriculum staff to track learner progress and wellbeing
Maintain a visible presence in student areas and contribute to cross-college events, including induction and open days

The LET's Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
