high-quality, inclusive and trauma-informed support

for students within the Bloom provision, many of whom have EHCPs and complex learning, communication, emotional or mental health needs.

Support students to engage positively with their programme through

compassionate, relationship-based approaches

, particularly when students are experiencing distress or dysregulation.

Deliver

1:1 and small-group interventions

to improve attendance, engagement, wellbeing and personal development.

Lead on

behaviour and engagement support

using Positive Engagement Plans, de-escalation strategies and restorative approaches that reflect inclusive and trauma-informed practice.

Work proactively with students identified as high or medium risk, ensuring

early intervention

, consistent monitoring and timely recording on college systems.

Liaise closely with

parents and carers

, maintaining clear, sensitive and regular communication in line with EHCP outcomes and agreed support strategies.

Act as a

student advocate

, supporting learners through meetings, reviews, disciplinary processes and reintegration following periods of Time Out.

Provide

mental health and wellbeing support

, including responding calmly and effectively to students in crisis, escalating appropriately and working alongside safeguarding leads.

Coordinate with

multi-agency professionals

including local authorities, health services, social care, therapists and external support agencies to ensure joined-up, effective provision.

Contribute to EHCP-informed support planning and reviews, ensuring student voice and outcomes are central.

Support the delivery of specialist induction, enrichment and personal development activities that promote independence, confidence and progression.

Undertake welfare calls, behaviour walks and in-class support as appropriate, ensuring students feel safe, understood and supported.

Maintain accurate, timely records to support safeguarding, attendance, progress and multi-agency collaboration.

Cross-College and Professional Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with curriculum, support and safeguarding teams to promote a

student-first, inclusive culture
