Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Targeted Student Support & Guidance: Provide students with tailored advice and signposting on academic, welfare, and financial matters, while guiding students through university processes like Personal Mitigating Circumstances, interruptions, and attendance issues. Collaboration for Student Retention: Work closely with academic colleagues and university services, including counselling and student union representation, to ensure students receive comprehensive pastoral support aimed at improving retention and progression. Attendance Monitoring & Intervention: Track student attendance through school systems, follow up with absent students in collaboration with academic staff, and document trends to provide targeted support where needed. Welcome, Induction & Inclusion Initiatives: Support new student induction and promote an inclusive environment that fosters a sense of belonging in line with the University's diversity and support policies.
