Legacie Management and lettings are currently recruiting for an experienced student property manager to join the team based out of its Head office in Liverpool.

Role Overview:



The Student Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational and tenant management of a designated portfolio of student accommodation. This role ensures a consistently high standard of service delivery, compliance with legal and safety obligations, and an exceptional student experience from check-in to check-out. You will act as the main point of contact for students, ensuring that properties are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Student Tenancy Management



Oversee all stages of the student tenancy lifecycle, including viewings, onboarding, check-ins, mid-tenancy support, and check-outs. Provide exceptional service to students, resolving queries quickly and effectively to ensure a positive rental experience. Conduct room inspections and ensure timely reporting and resolution of maintenance issues. Manage tenancy renewals and retention strategies in line with occupancy targets.

2. Property Standards & Compliance



Ensure all properties comply with current housing legislation, HMO licensing, fire safety, and health and safety requirements. Work closely with the Maintenance and Compliance teams to schedule and monitor remedial works. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the portfolio to maintain high standards.

3. Stakeholder Communication



Build strong relationships with students, guarantors, contractors, university partners, and internal departments. Act as liaison for escalated issues, complaints, or disputes, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions.

4. Operational & Administrative Duties



Maintain accurate property, tenant, and compliance records using internal systems (e.g. CRM, Pipedrive). Monitor rent collection and escalate arrears to the Finance or Rents team where necessary. Assist with marketing efforts to let available rooms during off-peak and peak periods.

5. Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement



Support seasonal changeovers, move-in weekends, and promotional events. Contribute to team meetings, process improvement, and the development of student experience initiatives. Stay informed about sector trends and best practices in student living.

Experience & Qualifications:



Experience in student accommodation, lettings, or property management (essential) Knowledge of housing regulations and compliance (HMO, gas safety, fire safety etc.) ARLA/Propertymark or similar qualification (desirable but not essential) Experience managing a busy and seasonal workload

Working Hours:



Standard working hours are

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

. Occasional flexibility may be required during peak periods (e.g. move-in weekends or emergency call-outs).
