About the Role

Leeds Sixth Form College is delighted to be advertising for the role of Student Relations Officer to join our fantastic Student/Campus Relations team.


The team is responsible for a wide range of areas, including cross-college enrichment, student voice, volunteering, student leadership, and social action.


Through this work, we aim to develop student skills, widen participation, ensure learners have a voice in college and the community, and enhance their life experiences. The team also plays a key role in supporting positive discipline approaches and embedding restorative practices to promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What You Will Do
The post holder will be responsible for enhancing the student experience at Leeds Sixth Form College. They will work closely with staff and students to create a positive atmosphere and support learners' positive engagement in college life.


This will include working closely with various campus teams such as Leeds Sixth Form, 14+ Academies, and the School of Sport Science & Exercise to guide and advise students on making positive choices and exploring their options. They will also signpost learners to relevant opportunities, activities, and support services.


About You
Due to the nature of the role, Leeds City College welcomes applications from candidates who have experience working with young people in an education or community setting. We would also like to encourage candidates with experience working in safety or security areas.


The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, great time management skills, and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role. They will be joining a fantastic team who work together to offer support and provide positive choices to improve the student experience.
