We are seeking a Student Welfare Officer to join our team at Teddington School, part of Bourne Education Trust.




You will be responsible for providing accurate, effective administrative and clerical support, alongside proactive front-line customer service to families and visitors. You will also take on specific duties, which may include Attendance, Inclusion, or other specialist areas. These responsibilities are flexible and may change according to operational need.

36 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 4.00pm)

Key responsibilities include:




Oversee Educational Welfare across the whole school and work closely with pastoral and Head of Year You may be required to conduct home visits to students in line with school policy, identifying reasons for non-attendance, working closely with families and others to break down barriers to learning and achieving regular attendance Conduct weekly wellness checks for absent students

Requirements include:




Essential




Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification) Experience working in an office environment

Desirable




Previous reception / administrative experience within a school environment Experience of school software packages such as Arbor
