The Role





An exciting opportunity has become available for B&FC graduates to apply to be the new Students' Union Sabbatical and join our Directorate for Students on a 2 year fixed term basis. Please note for this position an interview will be held as well as a cross-college vote that all B&FC student's will participate in order to uphold the democratic nature of the role within the Students' Union.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:





The Students' Union Sabbatical Officer is the chief representative of students of Blackpool and The Fylde College and participates in relevant cross college groups that deal with all aspects of the College's work.


Representing all students at Blackpool and The Fylde College across a variety of committees, forums, and college-wide initiatives. Leading Students' Union campaigns, events, and student-led initiatives that reflect the needs and priorities of the student body. Supporting and developing SU Executive members and student representatives to actively engage in college life and decision-making. Promoting student voice and partnership working through social media, digital platforms, and direct engagement with students and staff. Maintaining and upholding the SU Constitution, ensuring democratic processes and effective student representation.
