Katie Cox Dance Studio (KCDS) is a vibrant, nurturing, and professional performing arts school with a purpose-built studio in Purley. We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic
Studio Manager
to join our team and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of KCDS and to support our students, families, and teaching team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for parents and enquiries, providing friendly and professional communication.
Manage trial bookings and parent onboarding through Class Manager.
Maintain administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
Maintain parent communication channels (email, WhatsApp groups, Band app).
Support billing, invoices, and class registers.
Communicate effectively with clients, addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Organise events such as shows, competitions, trips, and workshops.
Coordinate rehearsal schedules and liaise with teaching staff.
Oversee uniform orders and manage second-hand stock.
Update studio admin systems (Trello, databases, Class Manager).
Provide general admin support to the Studio Director
Ensure compliance with health and safety and safeguarding regulations within the studio environment.
From time to time, you may be asked to help with other reasonable tasks to support the smooth running of the studio and the wider KCDS community.
Skills
We are looking for someone who is:
Exceptionally organised, reliable, and proactive.
Blessed with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
Friendly, approachable, and confident in communicating with parents.
Calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple tasks.
Confident with technology (Class Manager or similar systems, Canva, social media).
Passionate about creating a positive and professional environment for young people.
Experience in an admin, events, education, or performing arts environment is desirable but not essential. Applicants will be required to undertake a full (enhanced) DBS check and undertake safeguarding training.
