Step into the dark and daring world beneath County Hall and help bring London's most thrilling attractions to life! We're on the lookout for a Studios Supervisor to join our talented creative team supporting The London Dungeon, Shrek's Adventure! London, and SEA LIFE London Aquarium.

About the Role
As Studios Supervisor, you'll be at the creative heart of our attractions -- supporting the Studios Manager and operational teams to ensure the smooth and efficient creation, upkeep, and delivery of our sets, props, costumes, makeup, wigs, and scenic elements.
You'll oversee daily studio operations, manage projects and maintenance schedules, and bring your multi-skilled artistry to everything from gruesome Dungeon props to ogre-sized Shrek costumes. You'll also help train and mentor team members, ensuring the highest creative standards across every attraction.
In short, you'll make sure every visitor steps into a world that looks, feels, and breathes pure magic (or in the Dungeon's case, pure horror!).
Qualifications & Experience:
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the production, maintenance, and organisation of props, costumes, wigs, and makeup across attractions.
• Manage preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules for exhibits, sets, and materials.
• Oversee stock levels and workshop consumables within agreed budgets.
• Supervise studio technicians and run work parties or shift cover as needed, including occasional night works for installations.
• Assist in the design, build, and installation of new scenic elements, props, and costumes for both seasonal and permanent shows.
• Support marketing and PR activations through creative scenic work and prop production.
• Lead training sessions and workshops on makeup, wigs, and prop use for Studios and Performance teams.
• Maintain studio tools, equipment, and safety standards in line with Merlin's policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the creative development of new and seasonal shows within The London Dungeon.
• Support the wider operational needs of the attractions when required (e.g., radio cover, evacuations, and safety procedures).

About You

• You're a creative all-rounder with a flair for detail, a passion for immersive storytelling, and the technical know-how to make the impossible happen. You'll bring:
• BA (Hons), HND or equivalent in Theatre Arts, Construction, Prop Making, Costume or Makeup.
• 3+ years' experience in a Studios, Theatre, Film, or Visitor Attraction technician role.
• Strong skills in prop and set maintenance, costume care, wigs and makeup, and basic construction techniques.
• A practical, hands-on attitude and confidence leading small teams and projects.
• A working knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and risk assessments.
• (Bonus!) Experience in immersive entertainment, live performance, or visitor attractions.
• First Aid at Work certification is advantageous.
