Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively while maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions. Support residents with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals regarding residents' needs and concerns. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and documentation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
