Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and those receiving home care services. Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their care plans and ensure their needs are met effectively. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Uphold health and safety standards within the care environment, ensuring a clean and safe space for clients. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when interacting with clients. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
