Experience of completing CIWA and basic observations would be an advantage, but not imperative if willing to learn.
We are currently seeking an exceptional, experienced, committed and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse (RMN/RGN) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Liaising with our doctor, Recovery and Support Staff, you will be responsible for overseeing, and leading, on all clinical aspects of client care whilst on duty, helping to support them through the detoxification process and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Helping to admit new clients on to the unit, assess their wellbeing and liaise with our doctor
Undertake nurse assessment with all clients.
Demonstrate excellent and up-to-date clinical skills, monitor, model and sustain best practice within the unit
Supporting the Lead Nurse with all clinical and medication audits in a timely manner
Administer Pabrinex injections, where recommended by the doctor and to be fully IM and phlebotomy trained.
Take the lead, with the support of staff, in the administration of prescribed, detoxification medication
Contribute to service development, ensuring all clients consistently receive high quality interventions that adhere to best practice guidelines and professional standards
Have an understanding of safeguarding, including local protocols. Understanding when it is appropriate to raise health concerns.
Have an excellent understanding of CQC Regulations and Guidance in practice.
